Each piece is an individual, and lovingly handmade by Rosie, from start to finish.
Drawing inspiration from everyday life to adventuring across the globe. Returning from India with a suitcase full of silks, sarees and ribbons, this collection brings together two very contrasting cultures, yet pays homage to the master craftsmen weavers found in both. I wanted to celebrate Indias colour and vibrancy alongside the rich textured tweeds I work with usually.
The results are fantastic. I hope you enjoy.
So now, to Harris Tweed. Every time I source new tweed, I get equally as excited as the time before. I am constantly surprised by the rich and unexpected colours within it. I love to take the different colours and weaves, from the browns of the peat moor to the vibrant purples of the heathers upon them, and create quirky and wonderfully fun handbags and other little treasures. I combine and patchwork similar colour tones, but also mash things together in a typical 'by Rosie' fashion, which works particullarly well with Harris tweed.
