By Rosie
...in the Hebrides...
'By Rosie' is constantly evolving...Originally from the Dorset/ Devon border in the South West of England, the handbags have taken on many different forms and inspirations. From Dorset, to New Zealand and now to the Outer Hebrides, 'by Rosie's' company ethics will always stay firm....
Fun, unusual designs that make people smile.
Minimise fabric waste and where possible, recycle.
Every piece is individual, and lovingly created, from start to finish.

So now, to Harris Tweed. Every time I source new tweed, I get equally as excited as the time before. I am constantly surprised by the rich and unexpected colours within it. I love to take the different colours and weaves, from the browns of the peat moor to the vibrant purples of the heathers upon them, and create quirky and wonderfully fun handbags and other little treasures. I combine and patchwork similar colour tones, but also mash things together in a typical 'by Rosie' fashion, which works particullarly well with Harris tweed.

I
wanted to do something different with all this wonderful tweed, show
off all my favourite pieces all in one go! And so, from the remnant
sacks and sample bags that got me started here, Tweedledee and Island
Sweetheart were born... the first of many quirky designs to celebrate
this fabulous fabric and fabulous landscape and all the history behind
it...
